8月最初の週末は、ぼくらも大好きな鴨川のオーガニックカフェ「earth tree cafe」の3周年イベントにご招待いただき、参加してきました。
earth tree cafeは、今夏から営業を朝時間にシフトして、アフターサーフの楽しみを届けてくれています。ぼくらも朝のサーフィンあとのコーヒータイムを充実させてくれるような美味しいパンを提供したいと思っていて、その感覚をシェアできる大切な人たちです。7月から2週間に一度のペースで、土曜日の朝に、その日のパンを使ったメニューのパンを焼きたてで持っていっているのと同時に、少しだけその場で即売会をおこなわせていただいています。オーナーの松田さんは、もちろんサーファーです。

当日は、日頃から松田さんが仲良くされている仲間の方々と混じってパンを提供させていただきました。
テントを張っていたのは、カフェの食器を手がけている益子の陶芸家さん、鴨川の多肉植物屋さん、シルクスクリーンの作家さん、ステンドグラスの作家さん、上総方面の木工作家さん、などなど。知人では、いすみのアーティストKIBOKOくん、それにかわいいボードバッグや布小物をつくるmojamojaのみずきちゃんなんかも来ていました。
みんな思い思いに「暑いからちょっとクールダウン」などと言いながら、サーフボード片手に姿をくらましたり、ビールの空き瓶が止まらなかったりと、とってもメローな時間を過ごしていました。

ぼくらは外のデッキの木陰にパラソルを広げさせてもらって、その日焼きたてのパンを持っていきました。

今回は、新作でつくった季節のひと口ブレッドも持っていきました。食事パンとピンチョスの間のコのようなパンでしょうか。フレッシュバジルペースト、グリルドトマト&オニオンとアンチョビ、ブルーベリージャム、ピーナッツ&オレンジピール&ココナッツボールと、今の旬の食材をつかってつくっています。
四季を通じて、そのときどきの旬をどうアレンジするかが楽しみなメニューがひとつ増えました。
